In Memoriam: Michael Power
It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Michael Power, Past President of NOMA.
Michael served as Mayor of the Municipality of Greenstone and the Town of Geraldton for the majority of 34 years prior to his retirement in 2010.
He served as President of NOMA in 1987, 1995, 2005 & 2006. He also served as President of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario in 1988, and 1997 through 2000 and served on the AMO Board for many years.
Michael was a passionate advocate for his community and Northwestern Ontario and served on numerous boards and committees to advance the Northern viewpoint.
